Carlton has sacked David Teague after 50 games as coach of the AFL side.
The Blues finished the home and away season in 13th, with eight wins from 22 games.
The club’s season ended with a 14-point loss to Greater Western Sydney on Saturday night.
Carlton has been undergoing an independent review of its football department, sparked by another disappointing season.
“The Club is now able to confirm that after taking sufficient time to process the information from the review, the decision has been made to part ways with Senior Coach David Teague, while assistant coach Dale Amos has also been informed he will not be offered a new contract,” the club said in a statement.
Teague had a year left in his contract.
The club will now look for its ninth coach in five years.
More to come.
